What’s up E’rrybody!?

So after releasing Ropes Ep at the end of last year, it was only a matter of time before we came through with some tasty visuals. The lead track that we chose was ‘If It Don’t Mean Nothing’ (yes I’m aware that’s a double negative, but you know what I mean).

The song really is just about life being too short and so therefore if you can find what you love to do the most then why let anything else get in the way of that? We were very fortunate to have one of the world’s most beautiful cities right on our doorstep (London) and we were blessed with incredible weather and some stunning locations.

And so without further a do I proudly present to you my first official video!!!

This truly was a labour of love and the track has already generated an incredible response which I am thrilled about.

Ofcourse we have a tour coming up next month so keep us on the dial and we’ll have more announcements and audio/visual treats to come.

Until then…

Stay classy folks

big love

Happy Friday folks

What’s up everyone?

We’re back in business, ready to smash it in 2013 after a welcome festive break. Christmas is always an important time at chez Robinson, loads of hang time with the fam and fun meal times all sitting around the table with music, decent company and most importantly bangin’ food (Cheers Mum)!

I’ve been keeping busy in December always busy writing and doing the odd show in my home town of Plymouth. Although this town is a bit off the mainstream pace there is an awesome community of musicians and music bods in the South West and if you want a good time with some great music, it can be found. Recent December highlights include Mad Dog Mcrea (feat. Seth Lakeman) & Cosmo Jarvis at Plymouth University Great Hall, a big xmas party with my bros from Albenaza and my annual jam/party that has become known as ‘One Love’.

I was also fortunate enough to perform on New Years Eve with South West act Mad Dog Mcrea who are phenomenal live performers fast building a reputation as one of the top Irish folk bands in the UK. What better way to spend NYE than with a bunch of sociable Irishmen!? They absolutely killed it with a fresh version of the Fairy Tale of New York with my good friend Sooz Mac filling the boots of the late great Kirsty MacColl.

And so onto music news…  for the first time you can now purchase your very own copy of my latest release ‘Ropes’! If you haven’t already got it then check it here:

I will also be releasing a BRAND NEW track in the coming weeks along with a regular song blog ‘Acoustic Jukebox’. This will be a mix of original songs and covers of songs that YOU request. The most recent (festive) version can be viewed below!

And that’s all for this week, looking forward to seeing many of you in the new year when we hit the road but in the meantime stay in touch and we’ll have more news to come…

Peace out

So yesterday we were back in the studio, this time about half an hour down the coast from Brighton in a secret location where we spent the afternoon playing through a collection of new song ideas. I’m extremely pleased with how my first EP has turned out and we will be releasing digitally early in 2013, but in the meantime it’s on to the next and of course putting the live show together.
Thanks to everyone for their incredible feedback on the limited edition copies of ‘Ropes’, it means the world to have such amazing people who believe in this project.
Stay tuned for more videos, pics and news. Happy Mondays
